Good to know
Notting Hill is film-famous and looks it — pastel terraces, communal gardens, the market. Our flats here sit on the Westbourne corner, around Chepstow Road and St Stephen’s Gardens: a few residential streets north-east of the market with the same houses and none of the queue.
Getting around: Notting Hill Gate (Central, District and Circle), Westbourne Park and Royal Oak all serve the area, with Paddington’s Heathrow Express a short walk east. One date worth knowing: Carnival, the last weekend of August, is magnificent and loud in equal measure.
