Good to know
South Hampstead is quiet red-brick streets between Hampstead’s hill and the centre — leafy, residential, and better value than either neighbour. Our flat is on Belsize Road, minutes from both Swiss Cottage and the Abbey Road end of St John’s Wood.
Getting around: South Hampstead (Overground) and Swiss Cottage (Jubilee) are both close, the Jubilee running to Bond Street in under ten minutes. The Heath, the theatre and the Freud Museum make it a better base for culture than its low profile suggests.
